Alba Adriatica is 50 years old town of 12.000 inhabitants in the province of Teramo.

The city of Alba Adriatica is one of the most famous seaside resorts of Abruzzo, with a 2km of sandy beach and 25km of cycle path on the seaside that racing from from Martinsicuro to Roseto degli Abruzzi, primary sources of local economy are tourism, fishing, real estate and leather goods industry.

We have our railway station and motorway A14 – exit Val Vibrata.

Ports merchand and touristic are interesting to visit in San Benedetto del Tronto (14km) and Giulianova (8km).

Once Alba Adriatica and Tortoreto were one country called “Tortoreto Station”.

July 14, 1956 – the small country get his own independence changing its name in Alba Adriatica or the “sun rises on the adriatic sea”.

In the past have been discovered signs of neolithic sites in the surrounding area, especially in the internal of south.

Of considerable interest is the “tower” of the Kingdom of Naples (XVI century), located in front of the small delta of Vibrata river, to guard the adriatic coast from possible incursions by pirates or turks. (now is a “carlo V” restaurant & pizzeria).

To visit is Villa “favorita” Chiarugi summer residence by the owners built on 1720 (now is a suggestive discoclub “Gattopardo”).
